Cricket is a small, compact dalmatian just made for performance sports. She She has been trained in obedience, agility, and tracking.

Cricket got a late start in her performance career as her owner took time off from training to care for her ailing mom and then herself. To make matters worse, Cricket suffered a burst bladder in an accident at a young age and had life saving surgery which took her out of commission for a long while, too. We just started practicing again at the end of 2015 and then started showing in earnest in early 2016. After a couple of fun matches and false starts, Cricket started the year with three first places, a Specialty High in Trial, and an All Breed High in Trial to earn her CD (AKC Companion Dog title), and then earned 3 legs in Open to earn her CDX (AKC Companion Dog Excellent title). "including Top 10 placements in the Dalmatian breed for 2016 for both her CD (No. 6 in Novice) and her CDX (No.5 in Open). Cricket earned an AKC tracking title (TD) in 2017. We are planning to try for a Utility Dog title this year when COVID restrictions allow it. During 2020, Cricket at least managed to earn an intermediate trick dog title (TDI) using her obedience and agility training.

Cricket has recently been learning Rally and currently is competing at the Advanced, Excellent, and Master levels.
